Compoeter. Wropoecop. Whatever your preferred combination of Writer, Comedian and Poet, that’s what Daniel Piper is. His debut book, Arbitrary and Unnecessary, was published in 2018. He has been seen/heard on TV/radio and tours regularly across the UK and Europe. Great stuff. He is the 2017 Scottish National Poetry Slam Champion (he lived in Glasgow for a while). In 2017 he also came second in the World Poetry Slam Championship (first the worst, second the best). His work has appeared in publications including The Skinny, Terrible People Magazine, The Alarmist and Wallpaper Magazine, where his Instagram writing page was recently named a ‘must-follow account’. Cool. His work has not yet appeared in The Guardian, The New Yorker and The Paris Review.
